Lincolnshire Language Services

Lincolnshire Language Services is a local service developed to meet the increased need and lack of provision of interpretation services in Lincolnshire. We provide services in languages specific to the migrant population, which is now circa 10% of people living and working in our County.

The key benefits of using Lincolnshire Language Services are as follows:

  •  We specialise in Russian, Polish, Portuguese Lithuanian & Slovak – the key languages for Lincolnshire.
  •  Our interpreters are all based in Lincolnshire, which leads to a real saving in travel costs unlike other organisations that often provide interpreters that are based out of County.
  • LLS is a Social Enterprise, its surpluses are reinvested to train more Interpreters to diploma level and increase our local Lincolnshire portfolio of services for our clients.

Currently we are providing a pre-booked interpretation/translation service.  The rates for our current Credited Interpreter services are:

Interpreting:

Within Office Hours (M-F 0800-2000)

  • £24 per hour (minimum 2 hours or £48)
  • Evenings (after 2000) and weekends £36 per hour (minimum 2 hours or £72)
  • Bank Holidays £72 (minimum 2 hours £144)

Travelling time to and from the appointment will be charged at £7 per hour plus 0.40p per mile.

Translation

  • £18 per standard page (250 words) per language.  Minimum charge per source document £36.
  • For documents that require DPSI qualified Translators £27 per standard page (250 words) per language. Minimum charge per source document £54.

We look forward to providing you with interpretation and translation services in the future.
